Tom Haffie

For over 20 years, Tom has been using various educational technologies to help students meet learning objectives in the introductory biology classroom. His effectiveness in this work has been recognized by a University Award for Excellence in Teaching, an award for Leadership in Faculty Teaching from the Province of Ontario as well as Canada’s most prestigious teaching award, the National 3M Fellowship. As Learning Development Coordinator, he has most recently lead projects in support of campus-wide implementation of personal response technology, improvement in scientific literacy, and increased learning intensity in the Faculty of Science. He consults internationally on issues of technology implementation and pedagogy.
