About NAIRTL

Originally conceived of and organised as a National Academy, NAIRTL, the Network for Advancing the Integration of Research, Teaching and Learning, was re-launched in June 2015 as a national and international network. Higher Education staff in Ireland and internationally are encouraged to become a member of the NAIRTL network, to participate in one of our many events, and become involved in a strand of activity. For more details on the relaunch see here.

NAIRTL originated as a SIF funded collaborative project between University College Cork (lead partner), Cork Institute of Technology, National University of Ireland Galway, Trinity College Dublin and Waterford Institute of Technology. Its governance was comprised of a Management Board who met regularly and oversaw the financial management and day to day workings of the Academy.
