Dr Stephen Cassidy

Stephen Cassidy currently holds the position of Head of Teaching & Learning at Cork Institute of Technology. In this role, he is responsible for managing, promoting, and facilitating the development of effective learning, teaching, and assessment strategies within the Institute. His current interests are in the areas of curriculum design, teaching with technology, and student centred learning.

Stephen holds a PhD in Mechanical Engineering from NUI Galway and is a former senior lecturer in the Department of Mechanical Engineering. He has supervised a number of postgraduate students in his specialist research areas of heat transfer and sustainable energy.
