Siobhan Harkin

As Manager of the Strategic Innovation Fund in WIT, Siobhan Harkin is responsible for the coordination of a number of strategic initiatives, funded by the HEA, focusing on knowledge transfer and industry-academia partnerships. A biologist by training, she is a graduate from Aston University, Birmingham and carried out postgraduate research in the Medical Research Council, UK. She has devoted her career since then to the development of higher education in Ireland. Siobhan joined WIT from the HEA where she was the Manager of Capital Programmes. Prior to that, she was the Manager of Strategy and Innovation in the Irish Universities Association. She has also served periods as Public Funding Manager in Media Lab Europe and Collaboration Project Executive in BioResearch Ireland, Enterprise Ireland.
