Course details: University of Ulster Duration: 1 Year Structure: Part-time ECTS: 60 Credits, Level 5 HE Prerequisites: You must normally have gained a degree (or equivalent) or a professional recognized for teaching purposes. Candidates must be supported by employers as teachers of post compulsory students or lecturers in colleges of further and/or higher education or a part-time lecturer in a School or a College or a teacher/trainer in other institutions, holding subject qualiï¬cations which would be accepted by the Department of Education for recognition as a full-time. Modules: Assessment: Assessment is 100% coursework. A teaching skills profile will be compiled over the duration of the course including six teaching practice observations and support mentor sessions. Set activites, both in small groups during meetings and independent assignments, will be collated to form a record of achievement on the programme. Video case studies, digital recordings of teacher simulations and practice together with group enterprise assignments and tasks will be central to the developing teacher’s profil.
